Flora Europaea perennial, H, 2n=20, diploid mesic, from the upper nemoral Carpathian - north Balkan - Euxinic- Caucasian Petasition officinalis, Alnion incanae R3701-3707, R41       A tall forb which is specific for the beech forests in all the Carpathians; it is very rare in the lower nemoral forests from the hilly areas.
